Sister to Sister Launches New Online Community for Women to Get Serious about Heart Health
Heart disease is the #1 killer of women in the United States. As a woman, you are six times more likely to die of heart disease than breast cancer. Surprised?
Whether you knew this fact or not, there is some good news: to a large extent, heart disease is preventable. A heart healthy diet, exercise, regular check-ups and heart screenings go a long way to keeping your heart in the best shape possible.
To help you protect your heart, the Sister to Sister Foundation is launching a new online community called Heart My Heart. Heart My Heart is a place for women to come together and motivate each other to get serious about heart health and have fun doing it!
Heart My Heart helps women take action to protect their hearts before heart disease strikes by helping them find heart health screenings; connecting women with the resources they need to address their risk factors; and providing a forum for women to share tips, advice, and ideas. For fun, you can share pictures, stories and ideas and make friends with people like you!
Join today, set up your profile and start connecting with your friends! Once you’ve joined, make sure to send e-cards telling the people you care about to take care of their hearts, too.
Take care of your heart. It takes care of you!
